These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CodeSentri, an AI-powered code review service operated by CrashBytes ("we", "our", "us"). By installing or using CodeSentri, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

CodeSentri is an automated code review tool that analyzes pull requests and merge requests using artificial intelligence. It posts inline review comments identifying potential bugs, security vulnerabilities, performance issues, and code quality concerns.

2. Eligibility

You must have a valid GitHub or GitLab account to use CodeSentri. You must have authorization to install third-party applications on the repositories where you install CodeSentri.

3. Account and Access

• CodeSentri accesses your repositories through GitHub App installation tokens or GitLab access tokens that you provide.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your access tokens and credentials.
• You may revoke access at any time by uninstalling CodeSentri from your GitHub settings or removing the webhook from your GitLab project.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use CodeSentri to process code you do not have rights to access or review.
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limiting, or plan restrictions.
• Use CodeSentri in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the AI models used by the service.
• Use automated means to create excessive installations or trigger reviews beyond normal usage patterns.

5. Plans and Billing

• CodeSentri offers free and paid plans with different usage limits.
• Paid plans are billed through GitHub Marketplace or Stripe, depending on platform.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

6. Service Availability

• We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
• We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications to the service at any time.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. AI-Generated Content

• CodeSentri's review comments are generated by AI and are provided as suggestions only.
• AI reviews are not a substitute for human code review, security auditing, or testing.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated comments.
• You are responsible for evaluating and acting on review suggestions at your own discretion.

8. Intellectual Property

• You retain all rights to your source code. CodeSentri does not claim ownership of any code it reviews.
• Code diffs are processed in memory and not stored after review completion.
• The CodeSentri service, including its name, logo, and software, is the property of CrashBytes.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CODESENTRI IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CrashBytes from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of CodeSentri or your violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of CodeSentri after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may terminate by uninstalling CodeSentri. We may terminate or suspend your access for violation of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the state where CrashBytes is headquartered.
